Crypton presented KEI with a proposal that includes Rin and Len's estimated ages as well as the notion of them being'mirror images' and androids, similar to Hatsune Miku. KEI was not given any more instructions since he had already completed the artwork for Miku, the first release in the Character Vocal Series.
