Kakyoin, easily one of the most strong and mindgame-rich characters, can take on practically anybody if he can zone, bait, and punish appropriately. As a result, he can pose a severe challenge against strong characters such as Jotaro and DIO. He has few choices up close, but he's a formidable character when played with range. He can sprint and double leap in the air when the Stand is engaged. In terms of physical strikes, he also possesses one of the longest reaches, notably with his Stand attack. His command throws also do substantial damage based on button pushes. His most potent ability is the Mystic Trap, which can easily pick out unwary opponents for constant punishment, particularly when combined with his 20m Radius Emerald Splash.
