Parents are freaked out because of the Momo meme. Momo is a Japanese artist Keisuka Aisawa's nickname for his sculpture "Mother Bird," which is housed at the Vanilla Gorilla gallery in Tokyo. It originally appeared on the internet in 2016 through an Instagram post. Fast forward to 2018, when it appeared on Reddit's /r/creepy. Two weeks later, the Buenos Aires Times reported that authorities were investigating if a game connected with the picture, Momo Game, was linked to the death of a 12-year-old girl. Later that year, it was linked to an incident in Ireland in which an eight-year-old kid claimed that someone using the picture urged him to take a kitchen knife from a drawer and hold it to his neck. This has sparked rampant speculation that this picture and the "Momo Challenge" or "Momo Game" have been causing youngsters to injure themselves, prompting YouTube to provide an official response. Knowyourmeme.com has additional information about Momo's history and continued wisdom. Do you need additional Momo? Take a look at this week's Photoshop Contest.
