Marinette expected her school year to be spent dodging Chloe's incessant tormenting. Instead, she rescues the hero Chat Noir from the supervillain Coccinelle and is bestowed with Butterfly abilities to defend the citizens of Paris. As fantastic as these abilities are, the tension increases, and Marinette must adjust to her new existence or her new wings may break under the weight of this tremendous load. Andr Bourgeois (voiced by Joe Ochman in the English dub[78] and Gilbert Lvy in the French version) is the mayor of Paris, Chlo's father, and the proprietor of the Le Grand Paris luxury hotel. He is prone to become enraged at anybody who wrongs his daughter and to jumping to unprofessional conclusions. Despite this, Mayor Bourgeois is known for learning from his errors and making amends to people he has mistreated. He used to be a filmmaker, but he finally gave up directing to pursue a career in politics in order to better provide for his family. His primary villain form is "Malediktator," who has the ability to force individuals to do precisely what he says. He has also been combined with Audrey to become "Heart Hunter," a two-faced floating head that devours love.
