I haven't seen such intricate, complex, but clean artwork in a weekly series in a long time. There isn't a single line here that is wasted: everything is drawn with such accuracy that you can tell what's going on and who's involved at a look. It's possible that Yukinobu Tatsu spent years as an assistant, polishing his abilities in the service of others, but it's still shocking. That being said, all of the author's creative talent would be for nothing if he or she didn't know how to put it to use. Dandadans genuine power, though, resides not just in basic artwork, but also in inventive setpieces. The previous couple of chapters are chock-full of examples: remember Momo and the Turbo Granny's battle on top of a high-speed train in chapter 7? This shifted the fight away from conventional hand-to-hand fighting and into a whole other setting. There's also the scene when Turbo Granny manipulates everyone in town to follow her and Okarun, eliciting both dread and amazement.
