You may be looking for something specific when you come to this series. After watching Wandavision, you might want to read some Scarlet Witch. You might be a fan of writer James Robinson, as I am. Whatever your expectations are, what you will get is a supernatural mystery thriller. Almost every issue features Wanda in a new location, a new threat to face or puzzle to solve, and a new artist to (apparently) give each setting and story a slightly different feel.

Those who are new to graphic novels and unfamiliar with the format and layouts, on the other hand, may become perplexed, as I did at times. There were some interesting layouts, but I wouldn't recommend it for first-time readers because I missed things or followed things in the wrong order because some of the panels crossed the page. This is just a minor criticism. Another thing I'd like to mention is the emerald warlock, who is Irish and may be difficult to read for those unfamiliar with the dialect. Some things were simple to figure out how to say, but others were more difficult.

Steve Englehart excels at writing character-driven stories, and his work shines most brightly in non-superhero settings. There's a scene in which the couple hosts a Thanksgiving dinner with some friends and Avengers, only to have things get awkward when Magneto shows up as a last-minute invitee. It's the classic story of an estranged father seeking forgiveness and attempting to make a good story, but in bright spandex. If you want to see the Scarlet Witch and Vision interact with a team and do actual Avengers stuff, this is one of the couple's defining arcs. In it, they join the Avengers' West Coast chapter, and things quickly go wrong for them. Vision has been completely dismantled and his memory has been erased, transforming him into an emotionless husk of his former self.
