Marc often looks at Nathaniel's online drawings and uses them as inspiration for his stories. When he has the opportunity to see them in person, he is ecstatic. When Marinette suggests showing Nathaniel her writings so they may collaborate on a comic, Marc is concerned about what could happen if Nathaniel doesn't like her stories, so he accepts Marinette's offer to show the book without revealing who wrote it. However, when Nathaniel politely declines Marc's offer to do a comic together after mistakenly believing that the latter was having a broma, Marc ends up enojning himself to the point that Hawk Moth akumatizes him. However, after the awe fades, the misunderstanding becomes clear, and the two collaborate to create a comedy.
