Nana may seem to be a stern Goth-punk rocker, but she has a kind heart and is a loyal friend. Nana, who had been abandoned by her mother and raised by her grandmother, was expelled from high school after being wrongly accused of prostitution. Despite these obstacles, Nana "polishes the shards of her aspirations" and is eager to succeed as Blast's main singer. She is currently engaged to Ren Honjo (Nana's first love), but she still has ambivalent emotions for Yasushi Takagi. The Misato known to the band was really Mai Tsuzuki, who adopted Misato's name in order to feel like Nana's true younger sister. When Ren is given the opportunity to make his debut in Tokyo as a substitute member of the popular band Trapnest (Toranesu in Japanese), Nana decides to stay with BLAST and grow her own career rather than follow Ren since she has too much desire to merely be a rockstar's girlfriend. At the age of twenty, she decides to go to Tokyo to pursue a musical career.
