Suzuya, with Mizurou and Miyuki, began attacking her after Kurona discharged a pair of kagune, with two of his men keeping Kurona in place. Suzuya was about to attack her with 13's Jason when she was struck in the chest by one of Kurona's kagune. [16] While Kurona was battling Suzuya Squad, Suzuya revealed that he had recovered from the previous attack and was now dressed as Arata Joker. He quickly overpowered Kurona by lacerating her arms and legs repeatedly. Kurona escaped, but Suzuya informed Keijin that they had stopped her. Suzuya Squad then chose to meet up with Houji Squad. Suzuya initially appeared when he took Ken Kaneki's wallet and started questioning the latter's student ID, license, and money, claiming that he couldn't buy any food with the three thousand yen he discovered. He subsequently murdered a band of ghouls who had assaulted him because he reeked of deliciousness. Shinohara and Koutarou Amon apprehended him after a police officer detained him for being suspicious. Suzuya was unhappy when Shinohara rejected him a quinque, but he listened as Shinohara discussed the basics of ghoul fighting €” Rc cells, kagune, and kakuhou.
