For decades, the Rengoku family has held the title of Flame Hashira. Kyojuro's dedication to his profession was evident in every scene he appeared in, and it's a pity he left us a little too soon. Shinjuro Rengoku, Kyojuro's brother who formerly held the rank of Flame Hashira, is little known. Obtaining this distinction, though, is no small effort in and of itself. Shinjuro had to go through a lot of struggles and tribulations in order to be acknowledged at such a high level.
TOMIOKA, GIYU
Giyu is Sakonji Urokodaki's apprentice, having learnt water breathing methods from the master swordsman. Using these talents, he demonstrated his might and was finally appointed Water Pillar. Giyu has come a long way in perfecting these tactics, and he often thoroughly outnumbers the demons he confronts. Giyu is sometimes reticent as a result of his inability to express himself, yet he has a warm and true heart. His Demon Slayer Mark considerably boosts his combat strength, and he may one day become one of history's most powerful Demon Slayers.
