As a side note, my character receives access to his Mangekyo when his love interest dies while fighting beside him against a formidable foe (insert flashbacks involving the girl and dramatic eye transformation scene here lol). But I don't want him to destroy the opponent straight away; rather, I want the villain to flee when my OC utilizes one of his new Mangekyo powers. So, if that makes sense, I'd want one of his abilities to be somewhat relevant for this circumstance, like something that would frighten an opponent off (or recognize that he's simply not equipped to cope with it yet) rather than "one-shot" him like certain canon Mangekyo skills.
