Appearances [Correction] Kiritsugu is initially referenced in the visual novel Fate/stay night as Shirou Emiya's late adoptive father. Before his death, he taught his son rudimentary magecraft and passed on his values. Kiritsugu had already requested a friend, Taiga Fujimura, to watch for Shirou after he died because of his young age. [1] Shirou encounters Kiritsugu's daughter Illyasviel von Einzbern many times during the novel. [1] Shirou discovers that Kiritsugu took part in the Fourth Holy Grail War, and that in its aftermath, he gave Shirou the scabbard Avalon: The Everdistant Utopia (é ç3é, Subete Tki Risky) to guard him from harm. Emiya (Assassin) is outperformed by other 4 star assassins due to her poor stats, inadequate deck, and subpar talents. Despite having good crit gen numbers, Emiya (Assassin) is unable to perform the job of crit gen due to his BAAQQ deck. He has dismally poor NP gen stats, particularly when contrasted to fellow 4 star assassin Ryougi Shiki (Assassin), who can spam her NP effectively. His abilities are likewise mediocre: a self arts buff, an invulnerability pierce that significantly reduces other foes' debuff resistance, and a targeted taunt that also grants crit stars. Emiya (Assassin) would be a versatile and highly sought-after unit if he wasn't outperformed by other servants in so many areas.
